We are a cooperation of three environmental consultancy agencies in Northern Gemany with many years of experience. As “Planungsgemeinschaft Umweltplanung Offshore Windpark” (PGU) we joined forces in the year 2000 to successfully accompany our clients with their offshore project.

At BioConsult, founded in 1996, around 30 biologists, geographers and landscape managers handle all manner of issues relating to the aquatic environment. Our key areas of expertise are benthic and pelagic ecosystems in the North and Baltic Sea. We work for private and public clients as well as for governmental agencies. For example, the Northern German federal state departments, the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and the German Federal Environment Agency are our clients, for whom we have been assisting with the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and management plans for marine protected areas. Within the PGU, our key areas of expertise are the impacts of offshore projects on macrozoobenthos and fish communities. We plan and conduct monitoring and sampling schedules, including the taxonomic species identification and statistical data analyses. Our offshore-experienced crew is certified according to the GWO-standard. Our taxonomists are experts in species identification, data analysis and presentation. Thereby, we can ensure a professional and timely operation.

Our main office and laboratories are based in Bremen and we have an additional facility in Kiel.

IBL Umweltplanung GmbH was founded in 1986. Since 2009, IBL has been a certified environmental planning agency (DIN EN ISO 9001:2015), consulting in the areas of nature and environmental conservation. Our competent and versatile team consist of around 60 people with diverse backgrounds in environmental work. We meet the demands of onshore and offshore projects in terms of planning, project management, project operation and environmental monitoring. Within the PGU, our key areas of expertise aremarine mammals, sea birds and migratory birds. We are responsible for the complete process of planning and conducting ship-based offshore surveys. Our crew is trained and certified in all common aspects of offshore environmental work. With our many years of experience in species identification and logistics we are experts in environmental monitoring. This in-depth knowledge and long-standing expertise guarantees high-quality data analysis, guidance and individual assistance, even for projects of several years’ duration.

Our main office and the lab for processing digital aerial data are based in Oldenburg. Additional laboratories are situated in Wilhelmshaven.

Since 1972, Planungsgruppe Grün GmbH has been working in the field of environmental planning and management (certified according to TÜV Rheinland - QualitätsStandard Planer am Bau). Our interdisciplinary team of around 44 people assist private and public clients with ecological know-how and experience in efficient planning and realisation of projects on- and offshore. Within the PGU, we are the lead management and responsible for coordination of communication between clients, stakeholders and the PGU. We serve as the central contact for our clients and guarantee the smooth workflow of intra-agency cooperation, reporting and project management. Additionally, we are experts in issues relating to humans, landscape and cultural heritage.

Our head office and offshore-team are based in Bremen, with additional offices in Oldenburg and Fritzlar-Geimar.
